Defending the 'Boys: Predicting the Dallas Cowboys' 2025 Scedule

Let me first say this, I expect this to be a great year for the Dallas Cowboys.

After last season’s disappointing 7–10 finish, fans are rightfully skeptical. But let’s be honest last year’s squad was devastated by injuries, with nearly 60% of the team sidelined at some point. The chances of that happening again? Slim to none. Assuming a healthier roster, more continuity, and improved chemistry, I’m expecting this Cowboys team to surprise the doubters and make some serious noise in 2025.

Let’s break down my week-by-week predictions for the upcoming season:

Week 1: vs Philadelphia Eagles

Loss (0-1)

This one will be close. With new pieces still settling in, I think the Cowboys fall short in a physical opener. That said, if we’ve got the ball last... Philly might be in trouble.

Week 2: vs New York Giants

Win (1-1)

The Giants are getting better, no doubt. But they’re still a step behind, and the Cowboys take care of business at home.

Week 3: at Chicago Bears

Win (2-1)

Chicago’s on the rise, but I’m glad we catch them early before they fully gel. This will be a solid road win.

Week 4: vs Green Bay Packers

Win (3-1)

This is the statement game. People will be saying Dallas can’t beat quality opponents — this is where that narrative starts to die.

Week 5: vs New York Jets

Win (4-1)

The Jets don’t have the firepower to keep up with a surging Dallas team. Confidence is growing, and momentum is building.

Week 6: at Carolina Panthers

Win (5-1)

No letdown here. The Cowboys stay focused and continue their winning streak.

Week 7: at Washington Commanders

Win (6-1)

Many are circling this as a trap game. I’m not. If Washington couldn’t beat Cooper Rush, they’re not beating this version of the Cowboys offense.

Week 8: at Denver Broncos

Win (7-1)

Tough road game in that Mile High altitude, but assuming we’re healthy, the Cowboys will be rolling and pull out a hard-fought win.

Week 9: vs Arizona Cardinals

Loss (7-2)

I’ll be honest — I’m buying into the Kyler Murray magic. He’s never lost at AT&T Stadium not in high school, college, or the NFL. Right before the bye, the Cowboys drop one they shouldn’t.

Week 10: Bye Week

Perfect timing for some rest and recharging.

Week 11: at Las Vegas Raiders

Win (8-2)

Las Vegas simply doesn’t have enough on either side of the ball to stop the Cowboys post-bye.

Week 12: at Philadelphia Eagles

Win (9-2)

The rematch lives up to the hype, and this time Dallas is ready. This win puts them in first place in the NFC East.

Week 13: vs Kansas City Chiefs (Thanksgiving Day)

Win (10-2)

This is a huge game, and I expect the Cowboys to rise to the occasion. At home, on Thanksgiving, with a short week for the Chiefs? Advantage Dallas. The pass rush will be the difference.

Week 14: at Detroit Lions

Loss (10-3)

Three games in 11 days catch up to the Cowboys. This one’s a grind, and Detroit pulls it off in a close one.

Week 15: vs Minnesota Vikings

Win (11-3)

After a much-needed 10-day break, the Cowboys bounce back strong at home and dominate Minnesota.

Week 16: at LA Chargers

Loss (11-4)

A disappointing letdown against a good team. One of those “we should’ve won that” games, but hey — it happens.

Week 17: vs Washington Commanders

Win (12-4)

This one has major playoff implications, and the Cowboys won’t let it slip away. They complete the sweep of Washington.

Week 18: at New York Giants

Win (13-4)

This game won’t matter in the standings but the Cowboys finish strong regardless.

Final Prediction: 13-4 Record

From 7–10 to 13–4. Call me optimistic, but with better health, a revamped offense, and a defense that will be one of the most feared in the league, the Cowboys are back — and this season will prove it.
